Lana
She's the one with the colored hair. She travels far and wide with her beloved slippers, a backpack and a camera, gushing with positivity from every pore. Her days are more busy than hours. #PeaceAndLove
Milena
Covers the office with post-it and never refuses a nap. She loves everything pink and tries to compensate for Lana's sheer positivity. She has the charge of a sloth in her best days and for her it is always "snack time". #WhatBother
the Project
Artists and craftsmen of yesterday, today and tomorrow
Pennello & Scalpello tells about the people who most color Aviano, from its traditions to today's creations. In this space we bring together sculptors, stonecutters, painters, artisans in the food sector and anyone who has given or is making an artistic and cultural contribution to Aviano, with the hope that our blog can welcome and help make future Aviano artists and artisans known.
The logo
It was not easy to agree on what our blog should and could represent. How is art represented? We tried with realistic symbols and abstract designs, with many colors or just one, but none of this convinced us completely. The latest, desperate attempt after months of discarded drafts, is an abstract shape that simultaneously recalls an individual and a heart, the person and his passion, outlined by a simple colored outline complemented by Aviano's colors, thus forming a palette .
Aviano
Aviano is a continuous discovery, and this is the beauty of our project. It took us several months - spent in fear of not being able to involve anyone in our project - planning, deciding, thinking about all the things Aviano has to offer. And believe us, there are more than you can imagine. We did not stop to sift through the history already written in the books, but we searched far and wide, we spread the word among the hamlets and villages of the country to be able to reach as many people as possible. Pennello & Scalpello is the result!
The Universal Civil Service
The Universal Civil Service was born in 1972 as a peaceful alternative to compulsory conscription. Today it represents the opportunity and the desire to protect one's territory by enhancing what makes it unique. Being SCU Volunteer Operators is a responsibility, but it is also an opportunity to get your hands on and create something that has value for yourself and for the community.
